Peter Murphy Gray, Chairman & CEO
Peter Gray, CEO & co-founder, is an experienced entrepreneur and the inventor of WhyData’s Service Analytics technology. Pete’s expertise and thought-leadership in service delivery quality led to academic partnerships with RISD, The University of Georgia and the Georgia Research Alliance. Pete has worked with clients that include Silicon Valley Bank, The Coca-Cola Company, Anheuser Busch, Capital One, and the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. Pete is a graduate of The University of Maine in Journalism and Public Budgeting. He is a retired officer in the US Army Medical Services Corps.
John Hodge, VP & GM People and Partnerships
John R. Hodge, VP & GM People and Partnerships, has over 20 years of experience in management consulting, business development and executive search for a broad range of clients within the technology, life sciences and financial services markets. John’s expertise in performing executive level search, managing client relationships and new business development strengthen WhyData’s depth in supporting its clients. John is the driver behind building our core Information Technology, Marketing, Sales and Human Capital Practices. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ursinus College and an MBA from Villanova University.
Kent McGrew, Vice President Global Services
Kent McGrew, Vice President Global Services, has an extensive 32 years as an entrepreneur and consultant. Kent brings his extensive capabilities in leadership and management to WhyData after highly successful positions at notable organizations such as GM, Rolls Royce, EDS, Deloitte Consulting, Raytheon, Textron, Honeywell, and General Dynamics. Kent obtained his MBA in Operations Management at Ball State University, and his BS in Finance at Indiana University. Kent has a home in Frisco, Colorado where he enjoys cycling, rafting, and skiing with his wife and two children.
Mary Curtis, Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative/Financial Officer
Mary Curtis, Head of Finance & Administration and co-founder, is experienced in early stage finance, governance and intellectual property. She has worked with companies such as Anheuser Busch, The Coca-Cola Company, The Samuel Goldwyn Company, Arnold Schwarzenegger Productions, and Sage Publications. Mary graduated from The University of Massachusetts as a Commonwealth Scholar. Mary is very involved the youth group at Saint Martin’s Church where she leads the J2A youth group and where she chairs the Discernment Committee to seek a new minister.
Corey Ayde, PhD, CTO/Chief Scientist
Corey Ayde, CTO/Chief Scientist, has extensive experience in deep statistical analysis, business processes, modeling of quantitative and qualitative data, human factors engineering and methodologies. Prior to joining WhyData, Corey was the Director of Data Performance at Equifax, where he designed product specifications and marketing solutions for client databases. Corey has developed solutions across industries, i.e. Sony, Mitsubishi, Nikon, HR Block, Citibank, Bank of America , Equifax, IXI, Taulk, Qwest, and HP to name a few. He has a strong ability to work simultaneously with both Executives on big picture solutions and Analysts on details plans to anticipate process issues, production and development impacts, and overall business expectations. Corey received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Colorado State University.
